Need a Local Tradesman? Plasterers, specifically. If that's the case you can forget signing up to a Local Tradesmen directory. Save yourself the effort of having to sign up and then be quoted by Local Tradesmen that have been "vetted"! Vetted? What this really means is that the Local Tradesmen have paid money to be put in touch with you. The Local Tradesmen directories and websites do not have an exam for the Tradesmen to pass, they have no Local Tradesmen inspection department. If you pay, you're "Trusted" simple as that.
How does that mean you're getting Trusted Local Trademen?

Your Local Tradesmen could turn out to be the Local Turnips that botch your home and walk away with a shed load of your cash. In the event of this happening your Local Tradesmen having a website will mean you have your first point of contact.
- Do they have a portfolio?
If someone is proud of their work and happy for others to scrutinise it then it should score some points with you. If your Local Tradesmen can't or wont show you a portofolio or images of their previous Local work they they may or not be a good reason for this....
- Can your Local Tradesmen provide references?
Ask the Local tradesmen that you are dealing with for references from previous Local clients they have performed work for and don't be ashamed to follow them up. You are right to want trustworthy Local Tradesmen in your home and you are right to want the job doing right first time round and at reasonable cost.
